Tefal Pans

I got a small tefal pan (Jamie Oliver type with the red dot) on my fly buys some weeks back and I've fallen in love with this pan.

Anyway over at http://www.kitchendiscounts.com.au/home ... _tefal.htm they have 9 of the bigger 30cm ones on special -

I've just ordered one, couldn't miss a bargin like this and thought some of you may be interested.

Looks like a good site for bargain kitchen ware, will see how they go with dealing after I get this pan.

Three weeks ago Harris Scarfe had a 70% off sale and we bought a new Stanley Rodgers Techtonic 30cm non-stick frypan and glass lid --was $150 now $49.95 I think , and also a ridged cast iron grill for the stove top ,an American brand ,was nearly $200 now around $70 --we love the Harris Scarfe sales !!

Don't we all love buying kitchen stuff -----and now my stepson has a part-time job at HS ,and guess which is his work station or cash register ---yep --kitchen goodies and entertainment -- so we get another 5% off with his staff discount .

Time for bed I think

Sounds like a wonderful time for bargains for you folks.

I used to love my non stick pans but have now moved back to stainless steel and enamal covered cast iron. I have found over the years that most of my non stick pans (even my good expensive ones) have started to flake after a couple of years or so (even though I never use metal utensils in them) and I have grave concerns for this as I don't think it is good to be eating food that has been cooked in these pans or with flakes of this non stick coating in it.

I won't use aluminium either. Saying this though I do still have the odd non stick pan around the kitchen and do use it from time to time, mainly because there are the odd things I cook which require that size/type of pan and I have not yet replaced it with another.

I am now a scanpan person would not use anything else have had my set for four years not a mark on them and I use s/s utensils

I use ScanPan - having replaced most of my non-stick. I also use Le Crueset as well. Love both these products and wouldn't go back to anything else personally. Love my Le Crueset - is just wonderful for long slow cooking on the top of the stove. Also cooks beautifully in the oven to.

I think the scanpan is like the tefal??

I just love mine, never scratches, wipes clean as a whistle... and the Le Crueset agree with you Kathleen, for slow cooking it's brilliant much better than the slow cooker really, but you have to be around where the electric slow cooker you can leave while you're out.
