Sorry to hear about the broken crock Jo, how terrible.
Ian at Redback Trading is very helpful so I hopeful that he can sort it all out for you. Did you take out insurance on the crock? Mind you I probably wouldn't have thought about it myself.
Speaking of Redback Trading, I was in their site having a look today as I wanted to order some new wide mouth jars and was surprised to see how they have expanded since my last visit.

I did not take out insurance... but can I even do that if I am not posting it?
Blinkin' aust. post. The friends it got sent to remarked how they've seen them handling the mail at the Airport, literally throwing things around and dropping them from great heights onto the trolleys etc. Very sad.
